Well as a matter of fact only compiling the code to CALLs already greatly
increases the speed because there is no interpreter anymore.

Well anyways, it IS possible, there are several Basic-compilers for MSX
(KUN-Basic, NestorBasic, BASCOM). It DOES increase speed alot, however. 10x
faster is no exeption. But I think this is not really realizable on the
TI-83. Too little RAM etc. In addition, TI-BASIC really sucks being a
program language. IF such a thing is made I suggest to make it GW / Q-Basic
compatible.

And yes, MSX Basic also uses tokenizing.
