A82: Ash 3.0

I thought that you guys might want to know that the next version of ash
(3.0) has just
been send to the beta testers for testing. As soons as they have tested it
it will be
released.

Ash has been updated based on the results of the Ash 3.0 poll made by
scobie. Thanks to
all the people who toke the time to answer the questions, and thanks to
scobie he made
the poll.

As you will see when Ash 3.0 is released there have been some rather big
changes, and most
assembly program will now be faster and smaller. As an exampel i can say
that columns got
640 bytes smaller and so fast that the delay had to be changed. (Ash is
still >1k !)

All programs written for Ash 2.0 will have to be recompiled to work with
Ash 3.0. This
was done to save space (including support for both format would increase
the size a lot).
When Ash 3.0 is out i will be glad to help anyone who has written a
program for Ash, to
make it work with Ash 3.0.

I do not expect it to be possible to make a new version of the
Ash<->OShell dk. beacsue
of these changes. As long as OShell is still using the "old" method,
programming for these
two shell will be to different.
