TI Introduces New German Language Websites
Posted by Michael on 3 September 2003, 02:13 GMT

TI has released some interesting (i.e. bizarre) new websites aimed at the European calculator market: calcoolator.at, calcoolator.ch, and calcoolator.de. The Macromedia Flash Player is required to view these sites, which are for Austria, Switzerland, and Germany, respectively. I don't read German, but they seem to be aimed at teenagers, and feature such characters as an overly happy man with a blue goatee. The site is sure to give you a few laughs.

d00d! The eCards on these sites rule! Go to the .at site, go to eCards, and choose Monster. It's my favorite. :-) For some reason, they don't have it on the .de site. :-(

There's an 83+ Gold edition? If Ti really wants to corner the pimp market, they should release a diamond-studded platinum Ti-89. Bling-bling!

I can tell you that if you click on "Das wissensduell" (mouse over the volleyball net) you'll play a game, and if you click on the girl under the umbrella, you'll get the 31337 eCards I mentioned above.

WTF?

Honestly when the popup came up with the blue haired menace it (literally) scared the batteries out of my ti. I couldnt get anywhere because I nearly had a heart attack after seeing that. ;) anyway they should release one for the United States because i feel left out :P . eCards? ... lol. What is it like yu-gi-oh but you battle with calculators and do stuff like summon Blue-Case Ultimate Voyager ? lol
anyway it sounds like a great idea to get programmers and I hope they will release one for the United states so we can *translate* all the fun. (Make sure you have a BIG picture of the united states on the cover.)

Um, no. eCards would be virtual postcards that you can e-mail to people. Perhaps you were joking, or perhaps you play too much Yu-gi-oh.

The 89 at the German site seems a bit ... different, to say the least. It appears to come with the sketchpad, equation writer, and smg apps already installed. But I speak very little German, so I'm not sure about that. It just has them listed there...

No, they are just saying that those apps (and others) are available.

Wow, that looks like an ...um... interesting site. It's good that the TI community appears to continue to be expanding this rapidly.
