August 2003 Newsletter Released
Posted by Michael on 2 August 2003, 23:20 GMT

Yesterday, the August 2003 edition of the ticalc.org newsletter was released. As usual, in addition to the e-mail subscription, you can find it in eBook formats for the 83+, 89, and 92+. Best of all, it has the correct HTML encoding on the first try. Go Joey!

Update (Joey): Malcolm Smith pointed out that the eBook maker did not properly process the line breaks, despite the fact that I provided the tags as normal. The 89 and 92+ files have been fixed and updated, and should now be much easier to read.

Good job, getting the encoding right on the first try. Are we gonna have a new news item every month about the newsletter?

I like the HTML version better, especially when it is encoded properly. :)
BTW, your website doesn't work.

Re: ~

Yeah, the HTML version is much easier to read. Unfortunately, it takes up more space :( That's bad for me because my yahoo mailbox has already exceeded its quota (6.0MB). Maybe I should go through and delete some old messages that I don't need.

Oh, and dotTK doesn't always seem to be up and running. Maybe if you try later, it might load. Or, you could just go directly to the site.

Oh, yeah. I just tried the website link too. It isn't dotTK. Perhaps the link in the frame is wrong?

Errr... maybe I should just change the website link. Yep, CalcSoft is officially dead.

Yay! Another newsletter! I'm going to read it right now.

I doubt we'll have a news item for ever newsletter, probably just for a while until most people get used to it.

And for the ticalc.org humor...

Numbers 10, 8, 5 (with other names also), and 1 applied to me. :)

Read the TI-calc humor in the newsletter. The comments are numbered 10 to 1.

I would say only 10 for me, that would be really weird and really freakin' cool too. I mean think about it. weird.

Yeah... I've actually had dreams about that before. Really weird. But it's possible. I'm sure there's PLENTY of people that live in the same state as me. Just, not in the same town. It would be cool if I went to the same school as someone here. I've never had a programming buddy before. LOL

Same here. For me I am numbers 7, 6, and 4. Well, kind of # 7 but that was with other calc related material form TI not their SDK.

You idle in #tcpa all night, and then read what happened when you wake up.

Why can't we access the ticalc.org party irc chat log?

I have been trying to fix that for a while now, but um I forgot where the working file is on the server. Don't worry it's on my ticalc to do list.

Re: He's

Only 6. I have a good idea for another one:

Signs you go to ticalc.org too much:
10: The first thing you do in the morning is to check ticalc for new news items and programs
9: When someone mentions the internet, you think of ticalc.org
8: When someone mentions ANYTHING, you think of ticalc.org
7: Your password contains the words "Ticalc.org rules"
6: You make up a list called "Signs you go to ticalc.org too much". (Why does that sound farmiliar?)
5: You consider changing your name to "Magnus"
4: You constantly e-mail members of ticalc.org so much they think it's annoying.
3: You still e-mail members of ticalc.org when they think it's annoying, you just fake other people's e-mail addresses so they don't know it's from you
2: You dream of being featured in the ticalc.org newsletter
1: You're reading this list

Okay, so it wasn't THAT funny, but I think it's pretty good, considering.

Re: Re: He's

I think you meant:

4: You constantly AIM Morgan on ticalc.org so much they think's I'm annoying.

Sorry, I had to. But it's true, I hardly ever get e-mails form you, but there are those endless AIM chats. :-)
