TiLP v6.0 Released
Posted by Michael on 19 January 2003, 21:14 GMT

Romain Liévin has released a new version of TiLP, a robust linking program for use with every calculator and link cable combination imaginable. Version 6.00 adds numerous improvements, most notably support for the Voyage 200, a Windows XP driver for the USB SilverLink cable, and grouped files with the 83+. There also are bug fixes and the program has just been cleaned up in general.

You can grab the versions for Linux and Windows.

Making install in icons
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/kerey/tilp-6.00/icons'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `*.ico', needed by `install'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/kerey/tilp-6.00/icons'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I commented out the line with "*.ico" in the Makefile in the icon directory, and it compiled, but this needs to be fixed.

tiglusb on linux 2.4.20?

I just compiled a 2.4.20 kernel. I compiled USB_TIGL as a module. (The source included with the kernel) I installed the modules. I booted the kernel. When I ./configure --prefix=/usr/local the ticables library, it says:
configure: WARNING: tilp/tiglusb.h: present but cannot be compiled, check for missing prerequisite headers?, proceeding with the preprocessor's result. It finishes configuring. I made and installed it. The other 2 libraries and tilp made and installed fine. Tilp runs. When I select USB TIGraphlink for type and TI89 for calculator and hit OK, I get a message window that says:
Msg: Invalid port: try to use an I/O port device which is incompatible with the link cable. Cause: It's due to a misuse of library, probably a TiLP bug. Mail to: roms@lpg.ticalc.org System: No such file or directory (errno = 2).

I am using /dev file system support if that matters.

insmod tiglusb works fine, and I tried doing that before starting tilp. I tried running tilp as root. The error doesn't change.

Is anyone else able to dump a ti-83(-) rom with a silverlink cable with and version of tilp?

I can send the romdump83 program, it shows up in sos (ashell compatible, I can't get ashell installed).

as soon as I run the dump program, i get the BSOD and can't use my linkcable until I reboot. However I _can_ send other files to my ti with tilp.

(I'm using win98 and tilp 6.0, and newest usb link drivers)

Hi,
Great program, butI can't seem to get ANYTHING to work :(

I first tried using TI-Connect with my silver-link on my win2000 computer with no success, so I then tried Tilp, also with no success, after switching out the drivers.

I am now on my winXP computer, I went straight to Tilp this time, and immediately downloaded the required silverlink drivers. After setting everything up correctly, I get this error:
System: GetLastError = 997 -> Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.

Everything is plugged in and turned on, and I've got no other usb cables plugged in/in use. Any help would be SO grateful.
