Hey BTW does anyone know why his site (along with all the other *.calc.org sites) isn't up? I've been trying to see calc.org, Patrick's page, Alienhead Productions... none of them work! Is this just my browser sucking or is there a problem? Well while I'm at it I'll briefly plug.. *cough* go to my site *cough*

the ticalc.org comunity is really messed up right now so everyone needs to drop ticalc.org and calc.org and all of the other huge programming sites and make another one big like MINE: <a href="http://prgm.tk">http://prgm.tk</a>

everyone sign up and submit their programs! then when calc.org and ticlac.org are back up in a few years they can drop my site because it will go down like calc.org and ticalc.org

TSE II deserves more credit as being the only multitasking shell for the 83+. GO TSE II!

Heh...I should be saying thanks for being the only person in the world to even acknowledge the existance of TSE...If there was more support I'd make a flash app version which would be better than MirageOS :-P

Just one thing: make sure it works with archived programs without unarchiving.

Or, copy it to RAM (MirageOS copies everything as prgmZ,1.).

I like the multitasking, but I can't program for it. If you make TSE a FlashApp, couldn't you just make a key hook for like [ON] to be set during the FlashApp and once you exit it it is reset? [ON] could me the minimize key, even for BASIC, Ion, Mirage, all of the others MirageOS supports as well as the old TSE programs. And would it have changeable interfaces like TI-Linux? And who would produce it, Detached Solutions or Radical Software? If it is better than Mirage(which I wouldn't doubt), I would have both produce it to have the popularity of a "Detached Solutions Software Production" while having traffic directed towards RadicalSoft and so other people can download others' programs like the staff of RadicalSoft who you overshadow, great god of (true) TI-multitasking, and other cool stuff.




P.S. Why don't you do us all a favor and offer to help with Calc.org's PHP coding dilema?

That would work except for the major problem that the kernel knows nothing about the program's state: what needs to be saved on tasking out, what doesn't, whether it is even safe to task out at that point in execution, etcetera, etcetera. It would need to preserve, in essence, the entire state of the calculator, to be sure of properly saving the program's state. Same goes, by the way, for task-switching with Ion programs.

While I'll admit it's a pain to put in all the task-switching code, the benefits greatly outweigh it.

I don't think he'd be too happy if we flooded his inbox ... he probably turn red in the face from anger instead of embarrassment. Or, he isn't around to post messages ... who knows.

I have an 89 now, but earlier on my 83+ I had TSE II, and it crashed on every game. I agree thouhgh, it deserves some support.

Please explain how these crashes occured...TSE should be 100% bug free at this point.

u guys know if ticalc.org ever updates the archives, when they do the list of files added for ...(whatever date) is going to be massive it will freez our compouters trying to load it'll be so long

come on, theres over 700 files (530 .zip) pending and its just going to get bigger.

How do you know how many pending files there are? And shouldn't they update them now when they're still manageable instead of waiting for even more?

They finally updated!!!! But they've had a week, so I'd have expected them to have added more files to the archives ... several hundred more files to go!!!
