Destination Software Releases Zenith Saga v1.00
Posted by Nick on 27 March 2000, 03:24 GMT

Zenith Saga v1.0Destination Software has released a great new game for the 92 Plus called Zenith Saga v1.00. This game is an interesting Zelda-like RPG with many great features. It requires a lot of RAM, though (50+ KB) and it's only for the 92 Plus. Despite these limitations, it has an interesting storyline and it should keep you entertained for a very long time. It's currently a demo, but it's in the final stages of development. This seems like a great RPG that has a lot of promise, with wonderful graphics and fantastic playability. Download it here for HW v1.00 users who also use AMS v1.0X. Hardware v2.00 users with AMS v2.03 can find their copy here.

Update (Nick): Windows 2000 is now on the list of operating systems you can pick for your account preferences. Having beaten Win2K into submission myself, I must say that it's shockingly stable. I haven't had one single crash yet that wasn't caused by blatant stupidity on my part. Once you get all your hardware working, that is (I still haven't - I'm webcam-deficient). Oh well - I guess less people will be staring at me now :)

All I can say is, "wow." Does anyone know if there is any plan to port this to the 89? I'm sure a whole bunch of people would be forever grateful.

Before there's a million people asking for ports for the 89, I'd just like to say, LOOK AT THEIR SITE. On their site it says that there's an 89 demo coming up, and even explains why there's a delay.

Someone will port it to TI89 , as someone ported tetris
but the problem is that tetris has a lot of unused space in the screen , so , it was very easy to port it to the 89 . I don't know if it's possible to port this RPG so easilly .

Maybe you should read the other posts, and go to their website?

No one *needs* to port it. They're MAKING a version for the 89. Why would you need to port it if they're making it?

DAMM, this is the best game I have ever seen with cool graphics and features (according to their website). I am just wondering where can I get a TI92+ rom image for virtual TI? I have a ti89 and can't wait to play and try it out. Can someone email me with the rom image or give me the link?" Thanks

Good job to the Dsoft staff for making this AWSOME rpg. Can't wait till the final version for the ti89.

Just download a FLASH update from TI and unzip the .exe file. The .TIB file is a ROM image!

then how come there are two different versions in the recent files listing, one [hardware 2.00] and the other [hardware 1.00]? Is there some catch with the names?

How exactly can I tell what Hardware version is on my TI-89? I bought my TI-89 in February of 1999.

Though this game is for the 92+, I feel obligated to tell you about this:

Go to F1 -> About.
The first line will either read "TI-89" or "TI-89 Hardware Version 2.00."

Guess which one is which :)

You're lucky enough to get it work on your calculator....!
Im running under HW1v2.03, the game seems to work well, I can see the graphics and the text showing up, but the contrast turns far too dark when the game starts, just after the RAM check is done.
I can't change it using diamond + or -.
Anybody knows how to fix that ??
