Diamonds v2.0 Released by Jonah Cohen
Posted by Nick on 26 February 2000, 05:48 GMT

Diamonds v2.0Jonah Cohen has released a new version of Diamonds v2.0 for the 86. Among the host of new features are: grayscale graphics, a save game feature, an icon for YAS, and more efficient battery usage. There's also an equally neat level editor available for download. Check out both of these as soon as you can.

FIRST COMMENT!

Whoa, way too go Jonah. I love Diamonds and play it every day! Quick question does the grayscale slow the game down?

Yes grayscale slows down games but Jonah kept Diamonds runing just as fast.
(I think he made the delays less)
While I am here.. It says no html tags.. but do they work?

Probably by optimizing! ;-) Jonah is a good optimizer, for instance look at the source of Snake86 and try to make it one byte shorter. You won't succeed...

Don't you have anything better to do than waste your time commenting to yourself over and over again about nothing?

This is just the coolest update to a classic calc game, following in the footsteps of the update from Falldown v1.4 to Falldown Forever. I can't believe there's a calc game in which the 86 version is now actually better than the 89 version (in certain aspects, at least). Congrats, Jonah!

BTW, kudos to ticalc.org for making "Collection of Classic Text Adventures" a featured program, as it should have been from the start. ;-)
