Play checkers and connect4 on your TI-84 Plus color

Checkers

This new review is about two slightly older programs, Checkers 84+ CSE and Connect 4 84+CSE by Daniel 'tifreak8x' Thorneycroft, a productive TI-Z80 BASIC programmer currently among our most downloaded authors over the last week.

As their names state, they're respectively a Checkers game and a Connect Four game, originally developed for the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition. They don't include AIs and therefore require two players, though you can of course play against yourself, should you feel lonely enough, or for whatever other reason :-)

As you can see in the animated screenshots provided with the programs, the graphics benefit greatly from the color screen, and the color scheme of Checkers is even customizable through a settings interface. As they're written in TI-BASIC, the programs do run directly (and faster) on the newer TI-84 Plus CE and TI-83 Premium CE models.
