Omnimaga Holds Axe Programming Contest
Posted by Travis on 3 June 2010, 02:39 GMT

Omnimaga has just announced another TI-83/84 Plus programming contest for Axe games. This time any type of game is allowed as long as it is written entirely in Axe. Entries will be accepted until September 16th. Check Omnimaga's contest announcement for rules and prize information.

To be clear, the final contest day is September 15th. Past 12 AM on Sept 16th (GMT-5), we're no longer accepting entries.

Also if 500 Internal Server Errors occurs, just reload every few seconds and it usually shows up, eventually. My apologies for the crappy hosting.

This is great stuff.
I've started working on my project, so expect a lot of competition!

Please note that according to Omnimaga rules, projects must remain a secret until winners are announced, so keep quiet.

Not anymore. There were too many complaints about this and we discovered it might be best to revert back to the same rule we used last year: you can announce your projects and screenshots, as long as you don't provide any download copy to anyone until the end of the competition.

I wish Omnimaga would release a contest for TI-89 programmers. I would love to have a contest that I could be in.

I don't think there are that many TI-89 programmers nowadays, are there?

I'd join an 86k programming contest, I would hate to win by default though... I guess the closest thing is Ticalc's Program of the Year.

Sadly it would not draw much interest, because Omnimaga is populated only with TI-83 Plus and a few Nspire programmers. The only 68k programmer we have usually posts his project progress on TI-Freakware and Revsoft mostly.

Should you enter a 68k Omnimaga contest, you would most likely win by default :P

"Omnimaga has just announced another TI-83/84 Plus programming contest for Axe games."

Where can we find the results of the first one?
