I abstain because these programs are ... um ... not enough to choose from! Yeah, that's it.

They're too many, I'd have hoped KTIGCC to be the only one. ;-)

Gonna to go with the KTIGCC source, but I must agree with slimey_limey--the amount of choices is truly pitiful. :)

Yeah, we definitely need more PC tools.

I voted for KTIGCC too - it's not that I don't like TiLP2, but it's just an upgrade to TiLP, where KTIGCC is something completely new.

Yeah, it's not like KTIGCC is the KDE equivalent of the TIGCC IDE or anything...

But it's more than just an update, it's a very different code base (C++ as opposed to Delphi).

Now, TiLP 2 has seen some significant partial rewriting too, but IMHO it's still an update. :-) But I guess it would have been a boring vote with just 1 option. ;-)

By the way, if they won't allow KTIGCC 2 for KDE 4 to run next year (assuming I get that ready by then) while they did allow TiLP 2, I'll really cry foul.

...also assuming KDE 4 is ready by next year...

Poor KDE developers, seems like they need a lot more programmers.

But back on topic, I doubt that would happen.

I don't care if it's at 4.0.0 by then, any 3.80.x with a Window$ installer and Fedora packages (and I can take care of the latter) will be good.

Wow! Two programs to choose from! I will flip a coin, KTIGCC 1.04 Source for heads, and TiLP2 for tails.

Here is the result: Heads!
(yes, I really did flip a coin, a quarter to be exact)

When in doubt, put the fate of your decision in the hands of currency :P

If you are undecidced, perhaps it would be best not to vote, instead of voting randomly for a program that may be bad, and not worth the vote.

People should remember that they aren't voting for KTIGCC but rather oddly enough, the KTIGCC source.

I suggest people check Kevin's source code to make sure it is optimized enough to be worthy of POTY :-)

I agree about not voting randomly. If you're going to vote, you should try all the programs you can vote for first. I'm not voting this year because I run Windows98SE and because I couldn't get Tilp2 to work with my 84+. I haven't seen the capabilities of either program, so I'm not going to guess blindly!

Right, I think that was the point of the "I have no opinion" option we had in past years - to give the people who didn't know any of the programs *something* to vote for so they wouldn't vote randomly and distort the vote count.
