There is some sort of crazy javascript through the website.

Also, I would like to know what <script language="JavaScript" src="http://content.channel intelligence.com/scripts/ ykb_popupWindow.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> is doing in there.

I can't even figure out what it does (well, after 30 seconds of looking it over...), because of the cryptic variable names and lack of comments, but it looks like it shows a popup window with ads or something.

Not an ad-server - It hooks up to a third party content provider that serves up the names of retailers that carry various products. EA, targus, and a number of other companies use it.

I believe that "new sight" _is_ an intentional pun. I can't believe that they would choose the wrong homonym that many times.

All in all, I really like the new site, even though I have to run to the dorm restroom everytime I see "sight", even with the lighthouse.

In related news, the site is actually faster in Safari, and you gotta love the NUMB3RS shoutout.

That is, I run to the restroom to puke. Just wanted to clear that up a priori.

A pun is a poor thing to use though if it isn't clear enough to prevent visitors from possibly thinking it's a mistake. Aside from the lighthouse, it seems very out of place on what would otherwise be a professional page.

I, for one, am extremely disappointed by the new site design. I usually am when it comes to TI. My biggest complaint is the complete removal of the app development / assembly programming pages. Now it's just lumped on the download page for the SDK. And I think all the undocumented information is gone as well. Maybe they thought no one looked at it, but...they were wrong.

If you click the download button, and follow a few clicks, you can still get to the page where you can download the familiar PDFs and such.

Well, if it's "undocumented" then what was it doing on the documentation section of the website?

Well, it was the unofficial documentation page where information not directly from TI was posted. I think Dan Englender managed it.

Besides, there's also the annoying picture that changes when I hover over some of the text on the left (they aren't even links!!!), which is especially bad with a dialup connection like mine, and the flickering Spanish text in the top-right corner.

Well, of course. Maxthon uses the IE engine, so if it works with IE, it works with Maxthon.
