Whack A Mole...Err Students?
Posted by Michael on 20 March 2005, 18:23 GMT

TI has designed a rather unique game entitled Classroom Countdown. I really don't know what to say. It's a classroom version of the classic Whack-A-Mole game - only instead of hitting moles, you have students who fall asleep at their desks. Your goal is to use your calculator, presumably as some sort of adrenaline-firing phaser device, to click on the students and keep them all awake. Should you find yourself in a tricky situation, there are four activities that will provide an energy boost to the entire class.

So teachers, go out there and slap your lazy students upside the head with a TI-84 Plus! Just watch out for lawsuits...

... and I'm celebrating my birthday today. I saw this game a few weeks ago on TI's site. I must say, it had me confused for a minute.

*crosses fingers and hopes he does get a TI-86 sometime today* :-)

The 21st would be Ivar Haglund's 100th, were he alive today.

It doesn't look like non-educators can sign up. The game was quite funny though (I got a measly 77%).

I got a 92%. I only used the four bonus things in the last round, and the first rounds were pretty easy....

I got a 82%. I didn't use any of the bonus thingies. I'm still slightly confused about the whole thing... Enter to win a Navigator system? I also can't believe how pricy it is. $4000! yikes. Are they making this open to non-educators? I'm pretty sure if a anyone other than a teach won it, it'd hit ebay pretty quick.. lol

Rodney, how disgraceful! :-)

My second attempt I scored a 97% average which included a 100% on the last round! Yeah I did use all 4 thingies though!

You can make up your contact info for domain names. Most registrars just prefer some form of contact method but wont enforce it unless they've some complaint.

But they're using ti.com's nameservers! Unless ti.com doesn't belong to TI (which I doubt), I think it's official.
