Tairo v0.12 Released
Posted by Michael on 20 November 2004, 17:55 GMT

[Tairo] Jonas Gehring has released Tairo for the 89, 92+, and V200. Tairo is a strategy game (no kernel required) in which you start with 32 coins on a board and must leave one remaining at the end. Similar to the operation of checkers, you remove a coin by jumping over it. There are six different skill levels that adjust the time constraint.

Is there anything wrong with calling it a nostub game rather than "no kernel required" ?

Yes. Evil winged monkeys of death would have swooped down, bitten off my typing fingers, and then carried me away to my fiery doom. I hope you understand my choice.

Does anyone have some ideas about further options that I could implement into the game?

3D raytracing engine? That would be cool. I wish there was a way to do that with an 83 that would be small enough that I could also play Mario.
I have awesome game idea:
Mario & Luigi: Italian Crime Brothers
I could be like GTA. :^)

Oh, that's great.

Now I think I'll find a lot of games, and modify them to use the FAT engine.

120d: 3D First-person Phoenix.

Nah, working on too many projects right now, someone else should do that.

SOMEONE ABSOLUTELY HAS TO PROGRAM A 68K GTA!
At least GTA 1...
BUT PLEASE!
If anyone is working on it, or wants to work on it, or has comments, post! GTA is a great game, and the ratings and downloads would be amazing!

I already made (and optimized) a lame text version. I will release it soon... or not. A graphic version, of course!

You could always use the Pen tool to make a bunch of images and use basicbuilder to package them all together. That is usually called 'Crap Basic'.

GTA would most likely not folow the site policies and would never be added...

Isn't there already a game about being a hacker and a gun dealer? There are 1st person shooterz too. One way to get it followed is to reduce the gore.

All I have to say is that I never added that file, and if Texas Instruments thought that file suitable to keep around after the complete scan of the files with the whole TI incident, then I'm not going to remove it.

It kind of sucks, TI still won't link to ticalc.org, but yet we follow their guidelines anyway. Hmm I gots to ask someone about that.

Well, it would be kind of hard to include all the innapropriate things in GTA onto a calculator game, so I don't know how bad it would be. *shrug*

Hehe, that reminds me of "Kill Bin Laden"... 120d
