TI-Chess Adds 89 Titanium Support
Posted by Michael on 11 October 2004, 02:11 GMT

[TI-Chess]One of the best games ever, TI-Chess, has been updated to v4.11. This version adds support for the TI-89 Titanium. For those of you who haven't downloaded this great program before, it is a fully loaded chess game for the 89, 92+, and Voyage 200. Just try to beat the AI - especially on the highest setting. There's a reason it's ranked #2 on our top rated list.

hehe, I've been playing it for 2 months with a patched version. But this should increase the user base for this wonderful game, as most people don't know about patching, and they were just a temporary fix until the 89t compatible version was released.

Anywho, this is a (late) addition, and a good one as well.

I'm too lazy to patch it; but YES! it's finally compatible!

on another note, while i was downloading it, i noticed that TI-Connect isn't compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2...does anyone know of a way around that?

When I try to use TI-Connect, it can't locate the calclator, so I can't send files.

Thats what happened to me at first, but I played around with the USB ports on my computer, and I finally got it to work. I had to change the cord like 10 times though.

BTW, if you have Omnicalc installed on your calc and have the extra calculator thing on and you're in the 2nd calc, TI-Connect will not detect the calculator. Keep it on first is my advice.

I'm searching for a TI83+ engine that is able to play real chess.(there are two who are realy bad)
I know a few ways to faster the search engine
like filter in the first move one half away, or to filter repetive moves away.

if anyone is interested to help me with the programming...
