Calculator Chili?
Posted by Michael on 31 January 2004, 00:58 GMT

Hormel Foods Corporation has recalled its canned chili product because of external contamination. What was 104,000 pounds of chili contaminated with - Mad Cow Disease? No. Calculators. Sixteen states now have extra-special, super-mathematical cans of chili on their grocery shelves.

In unrelated events, a former ticalc.org staff member has reported that Nick lost his graphing calculator last week. After an unsuccessful attempt at late-night cow tipping, Nick was performing bovine mass computations. Upon leaving the pasture, he was subsequently unsure as to where had left his beloved 86.

Yeah... I don't see the point of hiding it, either. You'd have to have no sense of humor whatsoever to hide them... besides, no point in hiding it, even if you don't feel the need to respond...

IT'S TRUE!! - See link to USA Today

I suppose that USA Today posts "Fake News"

The link shows a USA Today article which talks about a TRUE CHILI RECAL DUE TO CALCULATOR PARTS CONTAMINATING CHILI.

I suppose you still don't believe it. (though I doubt it was a calculator which someone lost ... correct me if I'm wrong, I didn't read the whole story.)

Perhaps I should tell people about the link I posted. It is too long to put in the URL bar. To look at it, copy the parts of the link to the "Address Bar" (where you type www.ticalc.org to get here) and be sure NOT HAVE SPACES.

We never said that it was fake...the red border also signifies articles that are "funny." We need to come up with a name that would apply to both fake and funny.

well, dont try mixing fake and funny, because then you end up with either fanny or another word, which you probably wouldnt hear on US Network Television...

Re: Re: Re: IT'S TRUE!! - See link to USA Today

My point was it looked like many people didn't look (I did it too at first) to see about it at the link to whatever the true news article was. Sorry if I made it sound like I didn't like the name of the article or somthing. No complaints, I just wanted to point out to thosw who didn't yet know that there was more truth than most origenally thought.
