May 1999 POTM Voting
Posted by Kirk on 1 May 1999, 00:56 GMT

The May 1999 Program of the Month contest is now open for the public to vote in. You can simply see the programs that have been nominated, or you can cast your vote for the best program in each category. In order to vote you must be registered in our voting system. If you are not yet a registered voter on ticalc.org, you should register now before voting for the Program of the Month. The polls will remain open for one week, after which time the winners will be announced in an addendum to the newsletter as well as on the ticalc.org news.

I know this is off the subject, but can someone send me a ROM dump of the ti-86 and ti-89?

POTM Criteria?

So who is responsible for nominating programs for POTM? What are the criteria? I can't seem to find any information on this. I would like to know, because if programs aren't being tested on the calculator, how do you guys know what programs are good and what programs are bad?

I was thinking the samething. Few programs must actually be used by ticalc.org members and from that they say what they think or something since ALL programs aren't tested on the calc now. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I probally am ;]

I'd like to know the same thing. In the basic nominations, Resident Evil was there. Now unless someone else wrote a basic RE, then it's mine. I personally thought the game wasn't all that impressive...AND I'M THE AUTHOR! This was one of my first programs and there's a some BIG bugs in it that I haven't had time to fix...so why was this nominated...?

I thought Magic Quest: Act 2 was better than this. Hell, even Act 1 was better. Why Resident Evil was nominated instead of one of those is beyond me...

You're lucky! We didn't even get nominated for cools programs /without/ bugs :)
Please put pressure on TiCalc everyone to give us the criteria - I would hate to think its just someone sitting in a room picking names out of a hat....
