PlainJump v1.3 Released
Posted on 17 March 1999, 04:59 GMT

After several months, Sam Heald has finally released PlainJump v1.3 for the TI-82 and the TI-83. Sam is in the process of converting all TI-85 and TI-83 levels to the TI-82. Note that all TI-82 levels will run on a TI-83. For now, Sam released Make Some Levels for the TI-82 and the TI-83. In the future, new directories will be made to accomodate these files.

PJ rocks!... But the lvl editor could be better...

I agree, but other than speeding it up, not many improvements can be made (maybe a warp ahead/behind kinda like Page Up).
More importantly, a PC level conversion utility should probably be made to convert 82/83/85/86 levels(Not to mention that Jimmy Mardell never bothered to port the editor to the 86)

In the game, it's too easy to cheat. Just hit DEL when you are about to land in the pit.

Also, all-lowercase level names would be nice, or 7 letter names beginning with a funky P...

Great! I've always liked this game. Are there any differences in the game itself?

Plainjump 82 BUG!!!
Weiss
(Web Page)

Whenever I get a score higher than 511, and start a new game, the high byte of the score is not reset, If I get a high score of 4193, the next new game starts with 4096 points... Odd.

What ROM version / calculator are you using? On my 82 (ROM 19) it works fine.

Yes this is a bug. Looking at the source, I improperly cleared the savedata area (oops). Lots of random bugs should occur as a result (score not resetting, skipping to the beginning at the wrong time, etc.) Will fix in 2 weeks when I return from vacation (currently at cyber cafe).

I'm getting the same thing, or something similar, on my 83. When I start a new game, the score starts out at 700 some... But I'm on an 83, rom 1.0800.

I am not stupid. I just wish someone would write PJ for the TI-89. I used to have an 86, till some bastard stole it. I have not the skill with assembly to write it myself. I know this is kind of a stupid place to post something like this but there really is no other place to. Sorry.

hello programmers

ok plainjump rules its the best game for the ticalcs, it makes the 83 and the 82 look like they could run great grafix(ya right)!

Now my friends and I have been trying to convert a program that finds the limit of a calculus equation. The program is in 85 basic format, could someone out there help me convert it into an 83 format please, it will help plenty of people out there. Email me for a copy
