Over 1.1 million requests last week
Posted on 27 September 1998, 02:34 GMT

The weekly record has been broken again as 1.1 million requests were amassed last week, which also marked the 10th straight weekly increase. For a more in-depth view of our stats, check out the Web Server Statistics page.

September 1998 is also the busiest month on record with over 3.5 million requests. With an average of 150,000 requests per day, this month should end out around 4 million requests.

We thank our many loyal visitors for making this all possible. Look for a new section to open in about a week or two. :)

About WorryRock''s Comments (And Cursing)

Ok, as a former member of the Files, I do have to say one thing. WorryRock is a unique individual, and has problems controlling his emotions. This, however, does not occur at the Ti-Files. This has never occured before. As a former member, I would like to apologize for WorryRock's obscene and unnecessary comments (strict discipline was taken and carried out), and hope, as a avid supported of all the TI sites (ticalc, Files, and Dim-TI) that all who are involved may stop with the arguing and continue with what I'm sure they all started out to do. Help the TI user find all the latest programs, games, info, and help on their calculators. I do understand and support the idea that the Ti-Files and ticalc.org both actually support each other, by producing a motive for each site to work harder. Now, I have always liked the PUDs idea, and having it on both sites is perfectly alright. Personally, having both would be a great idea, for it is 1) A greater chance for the program programmers to publicize their work, and 2) The more PUDs, the better. This whole fiasco reminds me of the IBM/Mac flurry. Because of Mac copyrighting their BIOS (Which I might add was vastly superior at the time), no compaines could clone it, and the Mac had high prices. Because of IBM not patenting their BIOS, many clones came, and it produced competition, lowering prices. Easily, IBM won the battle, and Mac is still trying to compensate from this devastation. Ticalc and the Files are perfect examples. More quality and quantitative PUDs would be produced if both the Files and ticalc did a PUDs section, and it would be enjoyable to watch. Secondly, how can you patent a section? Who cares if ticalc copies. That should be more incentive for the Files to make their's better. The PUDs have been around before calcs existed, just not in Ti-Files's form. So I say "Let there be PUDs!" and hope that both sides will agree to this. So WorryRock, please do not curse, for this not only embarrasses the Files, but the entire calc community.
