As a fairly experienced BASIC programmer, I was quite surprised to see that this program actually works. The program displays the message "THE BUNNY LOVES YOU" as it busily fills the 1000 element list L1 with 999,999's. Oddly enough, pressing the [ON] key does not stop the fill operation while it is in progress. However, if you wait long enough, the program will eventually finish and you will have avoided taking your batteries out. This could be easily remedied by changing the code to the following:

Fill(999999,L1
End
'Congrats' (in a way) to this author for figuring out how to get past the [ON]/break sequence. While this program may be good for pissing your friends off, this discovery could probably have some slightly more positive uses than virus writing. For now, however, it can easily provide five seconds of amusement followed by many broken friendships. |
