This is a pretty cool program. It has awesome graphics and works pretty much exactly like the board game, without the hassle of sorting paper money. The only two things that I don't like are 1. The AI players go way to fast to see what they're doing, and 2. There is a save feature, and an autosave feature, but you can't load a saved game.

I've tried many games for the 89, most are too detailed with graphics and ruin the gameplay; others are the same boring thing over and over and are easily mastered. “Monoply” is a really great game, and allows a combination of up to 8 players - human or AI. It's quite detailed, though I have found a good number of bugs playing the game:

  1. Some of the chance and community chest cards do not work
  2. For some reason I was allowed to purchase the community chest lot one game
  3. When you have a "get out of jail free" card, and you're in jail and want to use it, on the menu to select it, it skips over it, highlighting the space below which if you select uses the card
  4. $200 or %10 on the Income Tax lot isn't really 10%... When I had $200, it made me pay $216 while when I had $1700, I only had to pay $36.
  5. You can save a game but can't load it back up to finish
  6. Railroads and utilities have a tendency to mortgage on their own without giving you the money
  7. The AI refuses all trades and to build houses or hotels
  8. Property is not auctioned off when you refuse to purchase
  9. Occasionally landing on your own utility makes you pay yourself the calculated amount, no loss really.

I wrote a few others while playing, and can't seem to find them. Aside from these minor fall backs, it's a really great game. Maybe a multiplayer version soon? That'd be nice to see, but then again, if you can link up cables, you're probably able to just pull out the game board. I would love to see a new version soon, though not to knock this one down, it's still a great replication of a classic.

Note! This review was written for a previous version of this file!

Monopoly is a great game. Not only is it *similar* to the classic that everyone loves, but it also combines elements unique to this game only, making this game extremely fun, and challenging.

Everyone knows how to play monopoly. This game follows the same basic rules, and is a very close clone. It has very detailed graphics, while still maintaining a small program size to leave room for your other games. It has fairly smooth game play, and the keys are very simple to figure out. The current version has a very simple AI, which can still be difficult to defeat, but lacks Trading and the construction of houses/hotels. However this game is still under development, and future versions will include these features.

Overall I give this game a 7/10, simply because it lacks some major elements of its *clone*. When completed I think this could easily attain a 9/10.
