“Invaded 1.4” is a great, addicting, ASM shooter, with exceptional graphics and gameplay. It seems pretty original (despite the others’ saying it sounds like some archaic arcade game). However, memory consumption is quite an issue, especially if you're trying to play this on the regular 83+. It drains your memory. I haven't worked with the level-editor, so I don’t know much about that.

Speed and Graphics: 9/10
Memory: 7/10
Overall: 8/10

“Invaded” is very much like the arcade and Nintendo classic "R Type". You can charge up your laser in order to do more damage. The big gimmick here though, also as in “R Type,” is your shield. Once you get a shield (it looks like a little cross), you can defend against many enemies' bullets. The shield can attach either to the front or back of your ship and fire if powered up.

“Invaded” is very fun, but I do have a few problems with it. For one, the levels are very cheap. Not difficult, mind you, but you only get one hit per life. Some shots can go through your shield, and I'm pretty sure that's a glitch. Your shield, although handy, can also mean your death. You try to get it attached to your ship and it just refuses as your enemies blast you. Finally, this has a level editor that won't work on my computer.

Overall, “Invaded” is a fun game for shooter fans.
8/10
