“Anarchy” is one of those campaign games, sort of. You warp around the galaxy buying and selling stuff and blowing other ships up. It's pretty fun and is worth your time. Try this game now.

Controls: 9/10 Confusing at first
Memory: 8/10 A little too big
Usage: 10/10 Really fun
Overall: 9/10 Cool game

The gameplay of “Anarchy” reminds you of “Elite” - you get a ship in sight, you aim for it, and jam the blast button; and if that isn't sufficient enough, you can always just send a missile. The trading system is quite easy once you get used to it - you fly towards a level 1 planet, buy your stuff cheap, then towards a higher planet, sell your junk, then fly off again. When further on, it gets kind of repetitive.

Just three options are present in the main menu; these are: Start New Game, Change Difficulty, and Load New Game. The difficulty change is especially useful, as this determines the ships you encounter and their difficulty. The other two are self-explanatory.

On the graphics side, the ships look good (even an Enterprise-kind of ship and a true UFO) but are limited by the black-and-white graphics of the "thing" itself. Overall, these are very nice.

Gameplay score: 8/10 - it captures the old feeling very nicely, yet there are some flaws.
Options score: 6/10 - you get what you need but more upgrades would certainly be welcome.
Graphics: 9/10 - they work out nicely. Good work on the ships.
Overall score: 8/10 - a good game to kill time, as it of course was intended to be.

“Anarchy” is a 3D space-shooter for the calculator, but there are a few problems that lower the fun of the game and make you forget that the 3D part is cool.

When I first began “Anarchy,” I was confused as to what to do for several reasons. The author's readme file does not help you understand the game, and the game itself uses a text style that is so cryptic, I wasn’t able to tell what is going on in the shops (which doesn't help any either since the shop doesn't work the way the author says it does in the readme). The aerial battles are mediocre, but the enemies can shoot you without being in range for you to shoot back, which is a major flaw in the game considering that if you want to get tons of money, you have to go into the deeper, more difficult locations.

The author took a chance with the 3D, which is great, but the number of design flaws in the game just lower the overall fun of it. I give it a 3 out of 5.

“Anarchy 1.5” is a really unique game! Although repetitious and confusing at first, you learn how the game works out, and take advantage of the trading and energy usage. It is somewhat annoying that the enemy ships can usually attack you before they're close enough to hit, and that some of the ships move up and down at insane speeds, but it is still a lot of fun. The graphics are pretty good and distinct, and the stars and warping effects look good as well. An odd problem (or miscalculation) is when you turn, it seems like the stars are realistic, and that if you press up, you're going down, but the opposite happens with enemy ships, so that can get confusing. I give “Anarchy 1.5” a 9/10, but customization of the other parts of the ship, maybe a 3rd person view, and looting equipment from other ships would make this an even better game.

This was actually one of the first games I ever got for my calculator and I was not disappointed; I still have it. While playing “Anarchy 1.5,” I did not encounter any glitches. There are a few minor things that I did not like. First of all, the game got boring after about 15 minutes; it was extremely repetitious. Also, the goods you buy during the game have no purpose except for resale. Overall, this is a great game. The only suggestion I have is that the goods should have some other purpose, like building parts for your ship or something similar.

Overall rating: 9/10
