Games are in the calc, every fold(er) i look around!!
Wow, TI-Chess, Othello, TI-Miner, Ultimate Solitare, Tetris, Phoenix, TI-LIDS, Mahjong, Memmory, ....
...plus Yapt, eBooks, Txtrider,.....
With my PlayStation Memory card, I don't seem to worry abuot memory much. Most of progs in my '89 are made for Study purpose. Games are in the card.

PlayStation Memory Card, huh... Does that stay inside of the case? How much mem do they hold? I haven't heard of memory expanders for the 89 (except Expander II, which someone told me doesn't work), but that sounds pretty good.

if i remember correctly, the only problem that has been reported with the expander ii on the 89 and a few other newer calcs is a lack of adequate drivers. i wonder why noone has come up with a way for a more standardized form of file storage has been tried, such as floppies...provided the power issues could be resolved.

i know i am responding to my own comment, but oh well. and no, i don't talk to myself often:)

anyways...i wonder how hard it would be to adapt usb devices for the linkable tis. i know drivers would certainly be an issue, as would power, but, with those resolved, the actual connection would probably be very easy, since the four wires in usb are positive, negative, ground, and power.

here's yet another pair of flat cylindrical cupric-plated zincate pieces from me

It's called PIXPANDER by sami khawam. Goto sami.ticalc.org to see more of it, including the schmatics, pics, etc.
There are many downsides to using playstation mem cards. They cost a lot, $5 dollars at best. They can only have 4 slots, and each can hold 1 file. Each file is limited to 256k, which isn't bad, but you may only save 4 files into a standard mem card. The double density type and the visiual multimeg type are not currently supported.

Most of my 89 used to be filled up with games, until I started failing english and anatomy as a result of playing phoenix and queue while the teacher was talking. Now I just have TI-Chess, and my grades have gone back up as a result of being able to look up from the calc without almost instantly losing the game :)

I think is should be more on how much memory is used by the game. If you fill up a 85 with games it not that much but a 89 full is to much.

Good point. I LOVE my new 89 just because I can put so many more games on it than I ever could on my 83+

cool, 75 people voted for 75%, and that has a plurality of the votes.

More of my calculator's memory would be devoted to games but I can't seem to get them to run on AMS 2.05

Then I suggest downgrading to your old AMS. I upgraded and found that nothing works under it, so I downgraded the same day.

i've run 2.05 on my hw2 89 since i heard that 2.05 was out. i played timiner for about a month before more games came out for 2.05. my guess is you use shell programs, which are, almost by law, incompatible with new amses for a month or more. upon the release of 2.04, i chose to exclusively use nostub progs, as these are not only often more forewards-compatible, but also much more stable.

The games I usually have on my calculator are Super Mario (Bill Nagel), Tetris and my own Guess The Number.

I play these games when I get stressed in studies so that I can clear my head. I also play these games in my spare times such as Registration and in Study on Friday, the last period where I can't be bothered to do work.

I also enjoy surprising people with Tetris and Mario on a calculator! Anyway I usually fill up my calculator's memory mostly with Mario levels. The total memory usuage is from 25% to 100%! My vote is 25%

What I like about calculator Mario over the Super Nintendo Marios (All-Stars and World) are that you can build your own levels! I have released a new Jack's World on ticalc.org.

I'd love to have a color Gameboy but I can't afford one!!!

i own an 86, and my calc's memory is around 25% full of games. the rest is taken up by Ashell, ATE, some of my BASIC programs, and strings. i actually still have around 42,000 bytes of free memory left...

am i the only one who thinks it's significant that there are 86 votes for 25%? 86's RULE!!!!! YEAH!!!!
