Bah. 2000 is a round number, and is divisible by 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 16, 20, 25, 40, 50, 80, 100, 125, 200, 250, 400, 500, 1000, and 2000.

2001 is not a round number and is only divisible by 1, 3, 23, 29, 69, 87, 667, and 2001. That is a score of 20 to 8.

Wow, someone has a lot of free time... I'm in class of 2000 as well, but I just say it looks and sounds cooler....

Bah, you have to be quantitative about it. And besides, it doesn't take all that long to factor stuff, even in your head. It's even faster with a program.

And 667 minus one is 666.
COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT.

Even though I am a proud member of the class of 2000, I am also sick of all these references to the millenium. Is a year any better because it happens to end in three zeros?

Only because Europeans were idiots at the time the calendar was created. They should have started the first century at zero. Then we could all agree that 2000 is the first year of the millenium.
