Nooo!!! Today's my birthday, and there's no news on my birthday! *gets angry*. Yeah, but even then, I still check every day for near nonexistent news.

It seems like the "yes" choices are a bit more numerous than the "no" answers...and where's the "Yes, because there is so much news posted that I don't always catch it all so I have to go in the archives to catch up with how fast ticalc is at posting news and this is a run-on sentence" option? ;)

I'm famous now! :-D

I used to spend several hours going through the news archives just because I was interested in seeing what life was like back then. I don't really have much time to do that anymore... Besides, there are only a finite amount of news articles.

But the real question is: does anyone else /post/ on said pages?

And does anyone else feel like they're violatign the Temporal Prime Directive when doing so? (Like posting about Krolypto on the "Calc Crypto and the GPC" page [link].)

Why do sound programs have to be in assembly?

They don't necessarily "have to".. If you have the Omnicalc v1.23 APP installed on your calculator (83 Plus - 84Plus SE) you can use the "play()" function and type in a string of notes which will be played upon pressing enter..

because the calc wasn't designed to play music so it wasn't included in basic.

& because BASIC is too slow & limited to implement it the way it is implemented in assembly. It might very well be possible to get 0.5Hz or so sounds from BASIC, but it would be quite useless (unless you happen to have a portable subwoofer...then you could use it to drive people crazy).
