No, DOS is for people who only want to use applications and are not
concerned with development.  DOS is much simplar to use than UNIX and
therfore is a better OS for the _masses_.  However, looking at the matter
only on technology, yes, UNIX is superior.  Once you get into the
graphical interfaces, then the point is even clearer...Microsoft's GUI is
_much_ simplar to use than UNIX's.  I have not yet seen a GUI for UNIX
systems that I would think the common computer user would be comfortable
with.  CDE, OWM, FVWM95, etc are all nice interfaces if all the software
you'll ever need is already there (meaning there's a sysadmin to set
everything up for you), but without that, the average computer user would
be lost.
