TI-H: EII expansion ideas

As soon as there's an 85/83 driver available, I'll get an EII...
>From the looks of it, that won't actually take very long... hooray!!!
Anyhow, as long as there might be an IDE interface, how about going
for the good old floppy drive hookup? In fact, if that can be connected
via the EII module port, then how about making (perhaps in the EIII or
later) an option to update the controller from a floppy disk? Most
likely, the file system would be crippled to FAT anyhow, so at least it
would all remain somewhat universal... This way, Brian could add as
many firmware revisions as he wants, and we wouldn't have to pay for
shipping and handling (yes, I'm cheap). Of course, there would have to
be some level of security implemented, and this would also be a much
more complex board design, but a possible option in a 3rd generation
offline storage device. As it is, the EII seems more powerful than the
TI-8x itself in terms of raw CPU power... ouch.
Also, if anyone has a Token Ring MAU (or any Token Ring/Ethernet
NICs, MicroChannel only), let me know, I'd like to get a few more. If I
can get 3 Ethernet cards or 1 Token Ring Card, I can finish off
networking my machines, which have been broken down to File services,
compiler services, and internet services... not to mention just other
somewhat powerful machines... powerful being anything above a 386SX.
Also, I think I'm about done with the hardware design for my
portable system, but I don't think I'll be able to build a prototype...
it's like a souped up PalmPilot, and I can't really make it small enough
without a some damn good design hardware, and I can't afford it. So I'm
moving onto WearComps... If I can't make it ultrasmall, at least I'll
make it almost totally unobtrusive... anyone got a couple of broken
camcorders?
