TI-H: IR link

Why is everybody trying to make this thing so complicated? The IR link
is a very simple device. The idea I got was first from the HP48GX. The
link is so simple its crazy. When I started to design the link, I didn't
think it would work either. It started as a theory, everything came
together and with a few adjustments and testing it works. No REAL
conversion to RS-232 is necessary as it is not hooked to a PC or modem.
It just just allows the data voltage to be converted in a form the IR Tx
and Rx can use. This is not that hard to understand. The link works and
that is all that matters. And as far as people thinking it is a hoax or
that I don't know anything about electronics...1) Noone is going to make
you build it...2) I am majoring in electrical engineering and I'm an
intern at a microelectronics lab. So, build it, if it doesn't work then
complain....
