It works on both.
THere are alot of rumors floating around about 85-acceleration.
everyone has a different oppinion about what works and what doesent.
i have no idea why this guy (mr electronics expert) says he's turboed 100's
of 85's
.....um ya right....100's?, and takeing the c-9 out diddent work?....what a
dip shit.
give us a break.
Iv turboed a dozen or so(regular and ce)...and takeing out the c-9 works on
both.
ok,here we go
I am sick of everyone arguing about this so.....
There are 3 ways to turbo an 85 (or 85 ce)
1)Take out the c-9(desolder it, do not smash it.)accelerates about 3.5*
(about 18mhz)
2)replace it with a smaller capacitor(depending on size will accelerate 2-3*)
3)put in a switch to bypass the c-9(more difficult but lets you switch from
slow to fast)

Thats it, they all work, so lets talk about usefull things like backlighting
and modems,.....i could understand if someone wanted to know how to turbo
their calc, hey I would be happy to explain it in detail.
BUT........I just dont want 12 e-mails a day about "I smashed my c-9 with a
pair of pliars ,now it doesent work", or "ive turboed 10 billion 85's and
taking out the c-9 doesent work"
