I personally use TurboZip:  it lets you zip files right from Windows 
Explorer and anywhere else you can view files with the right-click menu 
(unfortunately, I don't know the file size).

Tis may be a little late, but I think WinRAR is a better program to use.  It
handles ZIP files, is no bigger than 1.44 MB dowbnload, and to make a new
archive, you can select multiple files and right-click and choose 'Add to 
ZIP
archive (whatever the first file is).'  You can get that from download.com
