I remember old tape drives for the Commodore 64's. They were the slowest
things around.  My question is of how and what is needed to make it
better, or faster.

Did anyone thought of altering the expander driver and have it work on a
computer? Write a program that will intermediate and be used as a
Expander Emulator?

Just a thought.
