Re: Total stations / GPS - connecting TI-83 or TI-85

Can anybody give me a few pointers on what would be needed to
get either an 83 or an 85 to talk to a Sokkia or Pentax total station
(application: survey and construction stake-out), or to a Trimble GPS
(application: aviation navigation)? I'm OK on TI-Basic and PCs
generally, but pretty green around hardware comms.
I'm rewriting our stake-out packages (which ran on the OLD Casio
FX-730P), and I want to include hardware connectability. Any ideas or
discussion would be welcome.
