No.  Unwanted email is called "spam", so if you are one of those losers (I
might have just "flamed" someone) that sends email about your product or
multi-level marketing scam, then you would be a "spammer".  A flame is an
insult to someone.  You can argue with someone over a programming topic.
That is not flaming.  But when you go above that and direct the insult
towards the person, it is a flame.  However, some people feel like they are
being personally insulted whenever you insult their idea or program, so be
careful what you say.  They may take it as a flame.

These are not flames:
"That's a really dumb idea, the calculator can't play midi files."
"AOL sucks."

These are flames:
"You're stupid, you can't even program in basic."
"Anyone using AOL is a moron."

(NOTE:  It's just an example from the A85 list a couple of months back.  I'm
not insulting anyone with AOL.  But it does suck :)
