I wouldn't think it would be that hard to make if you only made it
support one "instrument".  Then it would seem like you could just
write the notes and the tempo and the file would be real small and the
driver would also be small.  i don't think it would need to try to be
midi compatible.  just something extremely simple.  but maybe a DOS
conversion utility that took a real midi file and turned it into a
midi85 file would be nice.
