Re: A82: Mac Assembler Coming

In response to the post about the new assembler:

I believe that the new Mac TASM should be an instant hit if and when it ever
comes out. However, it would be extremely beneficial to us if we knew exactly
when this new software would be released. The problem, I find is that there
have been many promises, but few actual keeps.

As for the AppleScript I have been working on, I have every piece of header
information worked out, and the only thing remaining is to incorporate the
final checksum (which is already calculated, so should not take long). The
script converts the a.out file produced by CAZ, the famed Mac Z80 assembler,
into complete TI82 programs. This will be completed by New Years, and
released to this week soon after (if not earlier).

Finally, I just discovered the higher level compiler called HAL. To my
surprise, what I've read on their pages looks extremely promising. I would
like some information on this from someone who has actually used this progam,
if possible.

Thankyou for your help,
Matt Stack
