Aerial Assault Released
Posted by Michael on 3 November 2003, 23:19 GMT

Screen shotVincent Corfdir has released a game for the TI-89 called Aerial Assault. This side-scroller starts out simply enough by shooting at a few airplanes, but soon your hands are full as there are obstacles in the air and below.

Update (Morgan): The English version is now available for download.

Most of the words used are cognates(look like an english word that means the same thing), and yes BTW, Je parle francais assez bien

The reason for that is because England was conquered by French-speaking people.

From what I saw in the readme, I didn't see many cognates, but the English version is out now, so now I can avoid the enlightening experience of learning another language (besides Spanish).

Having grown sick of American arrogance, the french up and start a war, attacking out carriers in the Atlantic. :D

j/k, but in the screenshot, it sure looks like a carrier, and the thought amused me. Anywho, this looks like a solid contender to go onto my calc. I just wanna know, though...is it in french all through? :\

How about the time they invaded Luxembourg, or the Thirty Years' War, or the Franco-Prussian War?

They have nuclear weapons and delivery systems, as well as a conventional army, navy, and air force, unrestricted access to our technology, the second best ICBMs in the world (after Russia) and the best tanks in the world. In addition, they have a lot of ICBM technology that we don't have because we let our infrastructure rot after about 1969.

If you crash into things, do you explode/start over/etc? Is there any mathematical analysis of flight conditions (i.e. will bullets fall away after 1200/400 feet)?
