F-ZERO for 68k Calcs
Posted by Michael on 10 December 2005, 20:48 GMT

[F-ZERO]Lionel Anton has released F-ZERO for TI68k. F-ZERO is a racing game based upon the original F-ZERO by Nintendo. It features four different ships and several different modes: Racing against calculator opponents, racing against your own previous times, or racing against a friend on a second calculator. This is a very amazing looking game that everyone with an 89, 89 Titanium, 92+, or V200 should download.

Wow!! Excellent game! I absolutely love it!!
Especially the sequence before you start a race (when the camera is turning) very cool.

I have the same calculator. And it doesn't have 200KB of RAM, period. I don't know where you got that number from. You can get about 193KB, if you use apphider to hide all your apps, uninstall and TSR keys, and archive everything. I don't, and can run this program just fine with about 165-70 KB free. The game doesn't anywhere near 200KB to run, you should be OK with 165KB.

ooops sorry, 200kb is a number I wrote a long time ago for testing the error message and I forgot to change it (I'll update that in the next release) :)

Oops sorry I just remember that it is not in master class that you have to complete all the gp in gold but in ultimate class.

I don't see why not. it would give other people a goal to try to beat.

there are already the staff ghosts for this ;)
you can unlock them if you perform a time which is less than the time of the staff ghost+1s

some of them a very difficult to beat and some others are quite easy (I didn't have the time to record 25 perfect ghost :))

this game is sweet! I have just one question, in the keys it mentions the attack key, I am uncertain about what it does and how to use it.

The attack make your ship going very fast on the left or on the right with a shield so you can kill the other machines in gp mode. (I never managed to do that anyway, but it is possible :))

How do you know it's working if you never managed to do it ? You must be very confident in your programming skills ;)

I have had AI's get disqualified but I don't think that I killed them (maybe they missed a jump?). it seems unfair that if you get killed there is a remach and if the AI dies they get "disqualified".

Yes if AI dies, they are disqualified (it is like that in the real F-zero)
