The last update did just the same, didn't it?

one thing i've also noticed is that the calc seems to reboot faster when you hard reset (taking out all the batteries)...

The faster restart time was introduced in AMS 3.01. I must say that it is a very nice change.

Actually, the startup time at reset is a function of the number of FlashApps you have installed. You must have deleted them when you upgraded.

Is it just me, or has the kbdprgm 7-9 functions been kicked out? It's an observation of mine... there's a root and log function on numbers 7 and 9, but 8 is empty... hmmm... o well.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not really planning on using the Presentation Link Adapter any time soon. Come to think of it, though, it would be pretty cool for games.

Let me tell you, playing games with the overhead is AWESOME! My teacher's calculator had games on it so at one point in the class, right before the bell, I was playing some games. Everyone thought it was pretty cool, including the teacher. ; )

I think that it optomizes battery preformance when a usb cable is pluged in. the reson I swiched to 3.01 is because I had really low batteries and when I pluged in the cable the calc died. It would be interesting to mesure the current draw whith both OS's.

This has to have some other fixes because they just skipped from 3.01 to 3.10. There must be something they are not telling us.

Maybe 3.02 to 3.09 were too buggy for releasing them :)

Are there any major changes between AMS 3.01 and 3.10? When I upgraded it from 3.01 to 3.10, I don't see any major changes, except that I was happy with the upgrade because I like having things updated via my calculator.

Well... all it did is screw up PreOS so that you can't turn the calc off! It would just keep on going to the preos menu when you wanted to turn off (2nd+on and <>+on). I recommend you stick with 3.01 until another PreOS comes out or another OS comes out. I've gone back to 3.01.

PreOS was reported to work well on this new version. Please send a detailed bug report to its author, or post it on the message board whose URL is given above, else you won't see any update.

About this new version of AMS, don't expect Texas Instruments to give you any information on what's new (yes, there is new stuff), we will find it by ourself, as always.

Well I don't know how to send a detailed report, and my parents wont allow me to sign up on any mroe forums. However, I will try to describe it as best as I can. From what I can tell... it seems to have to do something with the PreOS browser... since that even with a completely reset calculator (everything is empty), and I try to install PreOS 1.0.2 (which installs like normal), when I press any combo to turn it off, it won't turn off; instead just jumping to the PreOS browser. This was on my hardware TI89T; on the emulator, same problem (emulator is TiEmu 2.00 RC6), except that I can't get the PreOS to boot by pressing Shift+ON. So I don't know what is going on.

Yet another underwhelming update from TI. New calc, please, preferably a USB, HW3 92-style (Voyage 300).

V400 would make more sense, anyway, since there was no V100 (unless the nonzero digit is supposed to be a prime...since there is only 1 so far we can only conjecture about the reason or lack thereof for the numbering).
