Sumo Wrestle Your Calculator
Posted by Michael on 3 July 2005, 17:08 GMT

[Sumo Wrestling]Travis Fischer has released the latest version of Sumo Wrestling, v0.12. This game is the first sumo wrestling game that I'm aware of for the 68k calculators, and it is packed with attention to detail. The sixteen built-in sumo wrestlers (you can create your own) are based upon the actual top-ranked Japanese sumo wrestlers. There's even smack talk! The game should run on the 89, 89 Titanium, 92+, and Voyage 200.

Its great that this file has been recognised and featured. It is an extremely professional and appealing piece of software that deserves a download!

Great work :).

Well, if I ever get an 89, this will definitely be one of the first games I try out.

I think that I could beat my 83+ in a sumo wrestling match, but not my Titanium!

Needless to say, the raw mass of the V200 is simply impossible to defeat ;)

Sorry, but your V200 would use all its RAM just trying to knock my 89T out of the ring. The Titanium would 3D graph the V200 all the way out of the ring, and still be noble enough not to reset its memory!

I don't have a V200. I have an 89T. Pwned.

...you do realize the only differences between the 89T and V200 are screen size and the USB port, right? they use the same OS and have the same amount of RAM/EEPROM.

I thought the Titanium version of the 89 surpassed the V200 in ROM.

No, it's actually the same size, and you get to use 64 KB less on the Titanium than on the V200 because USB and alpha key support eat up an extra FlashROM sector.

I just showed a couple of my Japanese friends here in Nagoya this game and they had no idea who any of the wrestlers were haha. I guess a lot of young kids these days just don't really care about sumo anymore. On a more related note though, this game rocks me.

Hmmm... Sorry in advance... but can you tell us when we can expect this... surprise? I'm quite happy to hear that work on F-Zero is still going on, despite the dead website, keep it up!

To be on topic again, Sumo Wrestling is awesome! The matches tend to be on the short side, though.
