Playboy Sues ticalc.org for Usage of POTM Acronym

Playboy has decided to file suit against ticalc.org recently for their continued usage of the Playmate of the Month (POTM) acronym, a spokesman for ticalc.org reported on Sunday.

According to Hugh Hefner, Playboy's Editor-in-Chief and founder, "We were fed up. This tarnishes the good name of our fine enterprise. We cannot stand to see [this acronym] used in such a bafflingly idiotic fashion."

Sources have confirmed that the sum of the lawsuit is approximately $8.29 with $530,238,301,399.38 in punitive damages and personal anguish from one Miss November.

Some of you may recall that on 4/1/99, the Assembly Coder's Zenith (acz.org) posted an April Fool's joke news item (similar to ticalc's fake news) describing how acz.org would kind of take over/merge with ticalc.org. Anyway, I quote a bit of this news item here: "...In the upcoming months, as the take over is finalized, updates to ticalc.org will consist of mostly trivial / half-believable news items..." Whoa. Creepy. Coincidence? Or can acz.org foresee the future? Bwa-ha-ha-ha...
