MathWiz v2.1 released
Posted on 19 January 1999, 21:23 GMT

Fred Coughlin has released MathWiz v2.1 for the TI-83. This program is similar to Kirk Meyer's Cymbol program in that it features a grapical interface for selecting various external applets that perform mathematical functions. Changes over version 2.0 include various bug fixes, the ability to switch applets in mid-program, and the support of many more applets (200 in theory). The distributed archive includes the source code for three applets and instructions for making your own applets. If there is interest, a separate directory will be made on this site for these applets.

Its about time someone makes some good math programs. It seems that everyone is intrested in games. What about that hard test in algebra II or calculus?

The Man

Algebra 2 or Calc??
What kind of simpleton are you? When I was in algebra 2, which was 8th grade, there wasn't any concept that required a calculator program. There still aren't any. You don't even really need a graphing calc, although I own every one Ti has made. I am also profficient with a slide rule, just in case.

Re: Fool

Right on. You da man.
I agree with you, algebra is far too easy to need a graphing calc. I hardly need mine in AP calc.

Re: Fool
yeah right

Algebra 2 in eigth grade, I don't think so. I never said one needed a calc., I just said that it would make life easier. Simpleton, me. I don't think so. I have a 4.6 average, and have the hghest rank in my sophmore class, which has over three hundred people in it. Nice try though.

Agt Alpha

It is entirely possible to be in Algebra II in eighth grade. I completed algrebra in seventh grade, and would have done algebra II in eighth, except my school did not offer that as an option. And I am no simpleton either. I may not be ranked first in my sophomore class, but I am ranked 8 in my senior class of over 385. my $.02

Re: Re: Re: Fool

Doesn't geometry come between algebra I and algebra II?

Ken Ritzert

For me it did
I took algebra in 8th grade (didnt offer it in 7th)
im taking Geometry right now
and next year if all goes well ill take Algebra 2 in 10th

Re: Re: Re: Re: Fool

Yes (at my school anyhow.) I took algebra in 8th, because it wasn't offered in 7th. Then I took the advice of my stupid 8th grade algebra teacher and took intermediate algebra in 9th then in 10th to get caught up I had to take both geometry and algebra 2.

Integrated Math sucks!!!

At our school we use a completely different program. It's called Integrated Math. It intertwines material from the Algebra I - Geometry - Algebra II framework in each of the three courses that comprise the program.

Re: Fool

I think you are a moron, you seriously have no life do you? You must have been a jock. Thinking you're all bad for being in algebra 2 in 8th grade, which probably wasn't so, and even if so, nobody cares. You must have no friends to sit at home with every calculator ti makes. Does that make you special, can you program some sweet loser games? Hah, i get the games so that i don't have to pay attention in class.

Have fun with your calculators and dont call someone for asking a simple question a simpleton!
hah. btw.... what kind of a put down is that?

Looks like you could use a spell checker for the 86. And in case you didn't know, the 'o' is BESIDE, not ABOVE the 'p'

Re: Subject

Are you the same jerk off that wanted the 83+ ported to the 86?

Re: Subject

An 86 user, I see.

I think I like to read posts that have correct spelling, if not grammar, though.

Well, it doesn't look like they were submitted right because I never got them. Maybe you put them under the wrong directory? Can you please submit them again?

You put it in a directory called \incoming. How's that for a remedy?
