Attention span: 7/10 Somewhat addicting, but not very. Controls: 9/10 Pause (Enter) is hard to find. Implementation: 7/10 Resembles ShockWave version. Overall: 8/10 Well done.
FrAWgGuts is a somewhat well-done clone of Frogger for the Atari, computer, and who knows what else. This closely resembles the ShockWave/ShockMachine version, which I have on my computer. Unfortunately, I can't tell you how closely it resembles the other game systems' versions, computer programs, etc.
Frogger is the classic game of getting a frog across the street. You must cross three rows of traffic, then cross the sewer, with three rows of logs floating around. As the name of this program implies, you go splat when you get hit by a car, but it's not as exciting as it sounds. The other frogger game (frogger.zip) for the 86 has less rows, and therefore, the frog can be bigger and have better graphics.
I would like to see a teacher key in future versions of this game: most of us play our games in school and a teacher key is ALWAYS good. I would also like to see a Frogger game with a scrolling screen, just like the ShockMachine version.
Overall, this game is very well done, but there's something that makes me like the other Frogger game for the 86 better. |
