Xtravar Beta 1

|
Description
|
Xtravar Beta 1 is a no-shell assembly program that lets you use up to 256 different strings, matrices, pics, etc. It also lets you use special characters. The best part is that you can send your program to other calcs and they won't need this program to run it!

I love “Xtravar”! It's perfect for programs that reuse data after each execution. The extra variables accessible through this program, can't be found in the [VARS] menu, and can't be edited (except for lists and matrices) from the home screen. And the special characters are great for polishing up GUIs. Not to mention, these variables can be grouped, linked from calc to calc, and even moved onto the computer.
I've only come across one problem with the program. I stored a string into a “?” variable, then grouped it with a couple other variables. When the calc wouldn't stop adding the string to itself, I removed the batteries, and now the majority of the data I had on my calc has disappeared. I believe they are still there, but I cannot find them, and I can't use “Omnicalc” to restore them. That would be my only warning: don't use the “?” variables. They're marked as "?" for a reason. |
