Attention span: 10/10 I can play for hours. Controls: 9/10 Very easy, not many mishaps. Implementation: 9/10 With more realistic scoring this could be a 10. Overall: 9/10 (No Comment)
Tetris is perhaps the most popular game of all time. It is only fitting that it is the most played game on the TI-92 according to the survey here at ticalc.org. This implementation of Tetris is very similar to the game boy version you may be familiar with. It allows you to choose the speed and number of "garbage" rows to start with. This allows you to make the game more difficult as you become more skillful. It also features beautiful grayscale graphics.
I like this game very much, because it is so well done, and it keeps my attention for a long time. Everyone should have this on their calculator. The only gripe I have is it is way to easy to get a high score by setting the speed up and going for 4 lines at a time. Overall, though, this game is quite excellent. |
