Description
Emu8x is an 83+ on-calc emulator that provides a complete Z80 emulation environment for running a TI-82, 83, 85, or 86. This allows you, much in the style of Virtual TI for Windows, to emulate one of those four calculators on your 83+ SE/84+/84+ SE.

“Emu8x” is a great program for a TI-84+SE. Although it is slow, it allows me to write TI-86 Basic programs on my 84 and save them. It has a great transfer system when transferring programs to and from calculators, but not so great transferring programs from an emulated TI-86 (with VTI, a Win 98 PC, and a homemade parallel link). Only small programs transfer completely; large programs, such as “Super Mario”, do not work after transfer (You see the “Mario” logo, level select, and then it stops working).
I would really like this app much more if there were a way to load all of my 86 programs onto VTI and then break the ti86.sav file it creates down into the TI-86 RAM files used by “Emu8x” and send them to my 84 with TI Connect. Overall, a great program. |
