Suitability: 6/10 Good program; a little useless... Ease-Of-Use: 7/10 Easy to add to your program. Overall: 7/10 Good use of basic assembly.
This program, like the description indicates, disables the ON Break on the TI-89 by using a line of assembly programming. The main program is written to call three other programs: one to disable the ON key, one to clear the pressing of ON, and the third to reactivate the ON-break feature.
The program is well-written, but a little cumbersome to integrate into your program. The best idea I have for integration is to put the lines in as they are into the program.
This is the best program that I've seen that can be added on to a password program. With the ON feature disabled, hackers won't be able to stop the program, find the variable that the password is stored in, and break through. Then again, who *really* needs password protection on programs (other than the grades programs and the like)? |
