Hare and Hounds, version 1.0, 2018-09-30
Rolf Ptter

The hare (red) moves one space per move in any direction along the black lines. The hounds (blue) move only from left to right (straight or diagonally) or up and down, one space per move, along the lines.

The hare wins if it reaches the leftmost cell. The hounds win if they surround the hare so that it has no possible move. The hare also wins if the hounds don't advance for 6 consecutive moves (the message "Red wins due to repetition" appeares).

You can have the hounds or the hare begin via the menu item "Who begins?". The calc can take the role of
hare or hounds (menu item "Players").

To make a move for blue, move the cursor (a dashed circle) with the arrow keys to the piece you want to move. Press Enter to mark it with a bold black circle. Move the cursor to the target field end press Enter again. The program will execute the move if it is legal. To make a move for red, just move the cursor to the target field and press Enter.
