=============================================================================

BJack-Lite is a graphical game of Blackjack, or 21, for the TI-85.
I started coding BJack-II last year when I saw several friends' Blackjack
programs and was rather disappointed. I've since seen several more on the
Internet, but not even one in Z-Shell was to my liking. This is a 'lite'
version of BJack-II, without a few unneccessary features. It is my answer to
them all - a graphical Blackjack game that doesn't take forever to draw,
and that has nearly every aspect of the standard casino game.

Install the game by uploading the BJLITE.85G file via a Graph-Link
or similar cable. The actual files included are:
     BJlite Main program file
     yBJn BJack-specific subprogram
     xBarD, xWait2 general-use subprograms

There is no need to delete any other yBJ<..> programs already
installed, as BJack-Lite can be installed at the same time as BJack-II,
although I can't imagine why anyone but me would want to.

Just run the program 'BJlite' to begin. The interface is pretty
intuitive - the menus tell you what they do. After dealing, you'll see your
hand on the left and the dealer's cards on the right.

I have used two Hoyle rulebooks and a couple computer games to decide
on the rules for the game, and here's what is implemented:
o Betting is limited to $5-50.
        o A Blackjack (natural) pays 3 to 2.
        o No one wins a stand-off (tie).
        o 21 or under in 5 cards pays 2 to 1.
        o 21 or under in 6 cards pays 3 to 1.
        o 21 with 7-7-7 also pays 3 to 1.
o Aces count as 1 or 11 automatically.
o You can split your hand once.
o Blackjacks aren't allowed on split hands.
o Double-downs are allowed on any count, even on splits.
NEW o Insurance is available when dealer is showing an Ace.

Local high 'scores' are posted on my WWW page, listed below.

See 'CHANGES.TXT' for the program history.

I hope you like BJack-Lite! Let me know if you do or don't, or think
something should be changed - I'm open-minded. :)

Updates to this and other games of mine are available at the WWW
