Overview:

Thank you for downloading Battleship.  The idea of Battleship is to try to guess where your opponent's ships are and eventually sink all of them.  But at the same time the computer is trying to find your ships and sink them too.  The first player to sink the other's ships wins.

Full instructions:

When you start the game, the first thing you need to do is set up your ships on the left grid on the screen.  To do this choose a spot on the grid and press 2nd.  Then press one of the arrow keys to place the rest of the ship in that direction.

Now you move into the playing mode.  The key is as follows: the + is your target that you move around the grid to choose where you want to fire.  The . means that the shot was a miss and the box means it was a hit.  A filled in box means that the ship has been sunk.

I programmed the computer to be fairly smart, but trust me, he doesn't cheat.  I have played this game a lot and sometimes I win and sometimes I lose, so I think it's a pretty good balance.
